THE SPIRIT WITHIN

“The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

In the lives of many professing Christians today, the experience is that of the Holy Spirit working on the outside rather than on the inside. In the actual sense, the Holy Spirit is resident “in” every Christian,He come in at the point of salvation,  but He wants more than just to be resident––He wants also to be president! How is it in your life and experience? Is the Spirit a passing guest or a permanent resident? That makes all the difference. The Spirit within! The Spirit on the inside!

Is He the parakletos––“para” (beside), “kletos” (call)––one who is called alongside to help in your life or is He just a spare wheel?

NOTHING CAN SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD

“So, what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose? If God didn’t hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn’t gladly and freely do for us? And who would dare tangle with God by messing with one of God’s chosen? Who would dare even to point a finger? The One who died for us—who was raised to life for us!—is in the presence of God at this very moment sticking up for us. Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ’s love for us? There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins listed in Scripture: They kill us in cold blood because they hate you. A SPECIAL POSSESSION

The dictionary defines possession as something that is owned or possessed and the state of being completely dominated by an idea or emotion.

The dictionary also defines special as Better, greater, or otherwise different from what is usual and Exceptionally good or pleasant

The Bible says in the book of Deuteronomy: “That is why the Levites have no share of property or possession of land among the other Israelite tribes. The Lord himself is their special possession, as the Lord your God told them.)”

Can the same be said of you and I, is the Lord our special possession? Do we prize Him above all else, do we see Him as exceptionally good? Can we say that He has completely dominated all of us, every part?

The Levites had no physical earthly property, no possession, no inheritance nothing but they had God and that was all they needed. The never lacked, they were never abandoned, all their needs were met. There was nothing missing in their lives simply because God was their special possession.

Can we also make God our special possession today? He is the same yesterday, today and forever, He never changes! He will be our ever present help, He will be our shield and exceeding great reward, He will be our ever present help

GOD ON THE INSIDE

“You must not defile the land where you live, for I live there myself. I am the Lord, who lives among the people of Israel.””

“Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself,”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭6:19‬ ‭NLT‬‬

If the Israelites had to be conscious not to defile the land because God dwelt there, how much more we of the New Testament who have God in the inside of us continually. We ought to walk with the consciousness of God on our inside, justifying and keeping us in the right!

FOOD FOR THE MASTER

““Give these instructions to the people of Israel: The offerings you present as special gifts are a pleasing aroma to me; they are my food. See to it that they are brought at the appointed times and offered according to my instructions.”
‭‭Numbers‬ ‭28:2‬ ‭NLT‬‬
Are we careful of the offerings we bring to God? The offering of our lives of our substance, of our time. Are we mindful that it is His food? How do we serve Him our Master the food? Cold? hot? well prepared? Tasty? Nonchalantly? With love? With disdain?

If we love Him truely and faithfully then our offering will be a pleasing aroma served with love and reverence. Any other thing is not acceptable.  Whatever we give to God must be borne of LOVE! That’s all

REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE

When the seas roar and the storms rage around me, when things are not as I think they should be, when confusion sets in on every side, when the enemy gets into my head and begins to whisper defeat, failure and despair, I simply look up, stand up and remember who I am in Christ!

I am complete in Him Who is the Head of all principality and power (Colossians 2:10).

I am alive with Christ (Ephesians 2:5).

I am free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2).

I am far from oppression, and fear does not come near me (Isaiah 54:14).

I am born of God, and the evil one does not touch me (1 John 5:18).

I am holy and without blame before Him in love (Ephesians 1:4; 1 Peter 1:16).

I have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16; Philippians 2:5).

I have the peace of God that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

I have the Greater One living in me; greater is He Who is in me than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

I have received the gift of righteousness and reign as a king in life by Jesus Christ (Romans 5:17).

I have received the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Jesus, the eyes of my understanding being enlightened (Ephesians 1:17-18).

I have put off the old man and have put on the new man, which is renewed in the knowledge after the image of Him Who created me (Colossians 3:9-10).

I have no lack for my God supplies all of my need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

I can do all things through Christ Jesus who is my strength(Philippians 4:13).

I am God’s child for I am born again of the incorruptible seed of the Word of God, which lives and abides forever (1 Peter 1:23).

I am God’s workmanship, created in Christ unto good works (Ephesians 2:10).

I am a doer of the Word and blessed in my actions (James 1:22,25).

I am a joint-heir with Christ (Romans 8:17).

I am more than a conqueror through Him Who loves me (Romans 8:37).

I am an overcomer by the blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony (Revelation 12:11).

I am a partaker of His divine nature (2 Peter 1:3-4).

I am a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a purchased people (1 Peter 2:9).

I am the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21).

I am the temple of the Holy Spirit; I am not my own (1 Corinthians 6:19).

I am forgiven of all my sins and washed in the Blood (Ephesians 1:7).

I am delivered from the power of darkness and translated into God’s kingdom (Colossians 1:13).

I am redeemed from the curse of sin, sickness, and poverty (Deuteronomy 28:15-68; Galatians 3:13).

I am firmly rooted, built up, established in my faith and overflowing with gratitude (Colossians 2:7).

I am healed by the stripes of Jesus (Isaiah 53:5; 1 Peter 2:24).

I am raised up with Christ and seated in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6; Colossians 2:12).

I am greatly loved by God (Romans 1:7; Ephesians 2:4; Colossians 3:12; 1 Thessalonians 1:4).

I am strengthened with all might according to His glorious power (Colossians 1:11).

I press on toward the goal to win the prize to which God in Christ Jesus is calling us upward (Philippians 3:14)

It is not I who live, but Christ lives in me (Galatians 2:20).

i am not fearful but powerful and my mind is sound (2 Timothy 1:7)

THE HEART OF WORSHIP

“You groped your way through that murk once, but no longer. You’re out in the open now. The bright light of Christ makes your way plain. So no more stumbling around. Get on with it! The good, the right, the true—these are the actions appropriate for daylight hours. Figure out what will please Christ, and then do it.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5:8-10‬ ‭MSG‬‬

How many times do we come to the presence of our Father and all we do is stroke our egos, make ourselves feel good, enjoy the music or message without pleasing the One whom we have come for? Do we even realize that the reason for worship is to please Him? Do we know that the purpose of our lives is to p,ease Him? To find what pleases Him and just do it? The lyrics of the song Heart of Worship says it all

When the music fades,

all is striped away and I simply come,

longing just to bring something that’s of worth,

that will bless Your heart.

I’ll bring You more than a song,

for a song in itself is not what You have required.

You search much deeper within through the way things appear,

You’re looking into my heart.”

“I’m coming back to the heart of worship and it’s all about You,

it’s all about You, Jesus.”

when we come to Him to please Him and Him only, when all that matters is that He smiles in satisfaction when He sees or hears from us, when every other thing is put in the background and we simply come, He pours Himself into us and our lives never remain the same!
